Air Canada City Shuttle: Downtown Montreal to YUL for $9

coach exterior
To the point Air Canada launches a shuttle between the Palais des congrès de Montréal and Montréal-Trudeau Airport (YUL) in partnership with Landline: $9 one way and 37 daily departures.

Air Canada has launched the Air Canada City Shuttle, a new motorcoach service connecting downtown Montreal with Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL). Air Canada operates the service in partnership with The Landline Company, for $9 one way, plus applicable taxes.

The service quietly began operating on July 10, ahead of a broader public launch planned for Monday, July 13. Available exclusively to Air Canada customers, the shuttle uses dedicated bus lanes and a private airport entrance. As a result, the trip between downtown and YUL stays fast and predictable, even at rush hour.

A direct shuttle to YUL

The Air Canada City Shuttle expands the multimodal partnership between Air Canada and The Landline Company. Motorcoaches depart from the Palais des congrès de Montréal, right downtown, and run straight to Montréal-Trudeau airport. The location works well for convention attendees, business travellers, visitors and Montreal residents alike.

  • Price: $9 one way, plus taxes; children under 15 travel free with an adult
  • Frequency: 37 daily departures in each direction
  • Eligibility: available exclusively to Air Canada customers
  • Route: dedicated bus lanes and a private entrance at YUL to bypass traffic

Air Canada City Shuttle schedule

The shuttle runs daily, with departures every 15 minutes during the morning peak and every 30 minutes for the rest of the day.

How the shuttle works

From downtown Montreal

Your trip starts at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, where a dedicated waiting area welcomes passengers before boarding. Once at YUL, you proceed to check-in and bag drop, then continue through security. Our guide to Air Canada baggage fees explains how to avoid them.

From Montréal-Trudeau Airport

After landing, collect your baggage first. Then head to the Departures level at Door 7, where the shuttle picks you up curbside.

Changing or exchanging your ticket

Landline does not refund tickets. However, they remain fully exchangeable and never expire. Through Landline’s Manage Trip feature, you can switch to an earlier or later departure at any time, subject to seat availability.

Onboard comfort and accessibility

The service uses Quebec-built Prevost motorcoaches. Here is what you will find on board:

  • 48 spacious seats: reclining leather seats with extra legroom
  • Power outlets: keep your devices charged during the ride
  • Onboard lavatory: a welcome comfort, even on a short trip

Customers travelling with a wheelchair or another mobility aid should contact The Landline Company in advance at montreal.landline.com/assistance to arrange assistance.

Our take on the shuttle

At $9 one way, the Air Canada City Shuttle compares favourably with taxis and rideshare apps for getting to YUL. Above all, the connection protection stands out: no city bus or taxi offers free rebooking when you run late.

This launch adds to Air Canada’s recent investments in Montreal, such as the Air Canada Café and the reopening of the Maple Leaf Lounge at YUL. If you fly often with the airline, pair the shuttle with the Aeroplan program and one of the best Aeroplan credit cards to get more out of every trip.
