New ETIAS travel authorization

A few months ago, it was announced that Canadian travellers to Europe would have to apply for an online travel authorization called ETIAS(European Travel Information and Authorisation System) before their departure. This authorization is required to enter the Schengen area, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania.

The system has not yet been finalized and is not expected to be launched before 2025. The ETIAS will cost €7 and be valid for 3 years. Further details will follow in the coming months.

Travel with Aeroplan points

Air Canada’s loyalty program, Aeroplan, enables its members to earn points, notably when traveling with Air Canada and other airline partners, using a credit card affiliated with the program.

The easiest way to earn Aeroplan Points is to sign up for a new Aeroplan co-branded credit card. In fact, the welcome bonus offered is usually enough to book a good flight with points.
