AIR MILES: How Does the AIRMILESSHOPS.CA Portal Work?

Many brands like Amazon, Gap or The Bay are looking to attract customers to their e-commerce sites. They therefore do business with various partners, such as AIR MILES, who receive a commission as a thank you for referring customers.

To get more miles, follow these steps:

• Log in to your AIR MILES Collector profile at airmilesshops.ca;
• Go to the page of the retailer where you will make your purchase (Staples, Simons, Expedia, Michaels, Le Creuset, Disney+, etc.);
• Click on “Shop Now”;
• Another window will open, so stay on this page to place your order.

You don’t need to enter your AIR MILES Collector Number anywhere other than at the beginning on airmilesshops.ca. Then, once your purchase is confirmed, AIR MILES will reward you with miles, which represent a portion of the commission they have earned.

The airmilesshops.ca site is the online shopping portal for the AIR MILES loyalty program.

More than 200 online stores earn AIR MILES miles, allowing you to redeem for:

• Airline tickets, car rentals, merchandise, Disney theme park tickets or family activities with Dream Miles ;
• Save on gas (Shell) or electronic gift cards by using Cash Miles.

You must first have an AIR MILES Collector number to enter airmilesshops.ca. You’ll then have access to all the online stores. You’ll find well-known brands like Simons, Best Buy, Sail, Decathlon, Indigo, Viator, Walmart, Lego and more.

Basically, you’ll get 1 mile for every $20 in purchases, before taxes and shipping. But during promotions, this figure can rise to 20 miles for every $20 in purchases. That’s when it really pays to shop through the airmileshops portal!

Please note, however, that if you return an item, the AIR MILES Reward Miles earned will be removed from your account.

These base AIR MILES Reward Miles do not include Bonus Miles offered at select stores. You’ll find them in the blue badges at the top left of store logos: there are plenty of opportunities to save, and offers are regularly updated.

Finally, several times a year, the AIR MILES program also runs promotional events where partnering stores participate. Airmilesshops.ca is included, of course.

Whether it’s the Shop the Block or the Flash Offers, members will shop via airmilesshops.ca to collect miles faster.

These events recur every year, or they may be spontaneous.

The airmilesshops.ca portal allows the accumulation of AIR MILES miles only. Cash Miles cannot be redeemed to reduce your bill.
