Bottom Line

While it will soon no longer be possible to earn Aeroplan points on Uber services in the U.S., it is now possible to earn Marriott Bonvoy points in the U.S. by linking your accounts.

Plus, by using the American Express Cobalt® Card as your payment method on Uber or Uber Eats, you’ll earn 5 American Express Membership Rewards points per Canadian dollar spent on food delivery, and 2 points per Canadian dollar for Uber rides. You can then convert your Membership Rewards points to Aeroplan at a 1:1 ratio and do double dip on rewards.
