The Aeroplan promotion

Here are the terms of the promotion:

  • Book via Air Canada : between June 10 and July 7
  • Stay : between June 21 and December 15, 2021
  • 1 night stay = 5,000 bonus Aeroplan points
  • 2 consecutive nights = 10,000 bonus Aeroplan Points
  • 3 consecutive nights = 20,000 bonus Aeroplan Points

This is in addition to the points normally earned for your booking through the Air Canada travel agency (2 points per dollar or 5 points per dollar if you have an Aeroplan status) and with your Aeroplan credit card for this booking with Air Canada (between 1.5 and 3 Aeroplan points per dollar).

Eligible hotels

  • Blue Horizon Hotel
  • The Burrard
  • Carmana Plaza
  • Coast Coal Harbour Hotel by APA

By booking through a travel agency such as Aeroplan/Air Canada, you will not be able to enjoy the benefits of your Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, World of Hyatt, Accor Live Limitless, etc., elite status, nor will you be able to earn hotel program points for your stay.

If, for example, you are a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum or Titanium member, you will not be eligible for complimentary breakfast (which will return to all hotels starting July 1).

For example, you could book in a hotel where you don’t have a status! For example, with this 3-night stay from October 15-18 at the Blu Vancouver Hotel for $128 per night (or $452).

You could get :

  • 20,000 bonus Aeroplan Points with this promotion (3 consecutive nights)
  • 2,257 bonus Aeroplan Points for booking with Aeroplan (5 Aeroplan Points per dollar)
  • 678 bonus Aeroplan Points when booking with your Aeroplan credit card such as the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite* Card (1.5 Aeroplan Points per dollar) or 1,356 Aeroplan Bonus Points when booking with the American Express® Aeroplan®* Reserve Card (3 Aeroplan Points per dollar)

That’s between 22,935 and 23,613 bonus Aeroplan points for those 3 nights in Vancouver at the cost of $452 (or 1.9 cents per point). It’s almost like buying Aeroplan points and getting 3 nights at a hotel!

Conclusion

Vancouver is always a popular and enjoyable destination for a weekend or a Western Canada itinerary. Don’t miss this promotion to add lots of Aeroplan points to your account!
