And it’s a great opportunity to combine this offer with the Aeroplan netShop or AIR MILES airmilesshops.ca offer!

In the facebook group “Travel free (or almost free…!) with your points & miles – milesopedia”, many members share the offers they receive very regularly from American Express.

A few months ago, for example, some American Express Platinum Card® holders could get a $200 credit for $200 in Duty Free purchases at Toronto YYZ. It’s basically… “$200 free.” Cardholders of the American Express Cobalt® Card were entitled to $50!

More recently, other American Express Platinum Card® holders received an offer regarding purchases at the Birks store: $100 credit for a purchase of $100 or more! Here again… a “free 100$” which is perfect for the end of the year gifts.

Most of the time, these offers are received directly to your American Express account email address. And you have to sign up for each of these offers to get these credits!

But in the facebook group “Travel for free (or almost…!) with your points & miles – milesopedia”, some members regularly complain about not receiving these offers! Here’s how to increase your chances, with 2 methods:

The first is to go to the American Express menu on your online account, to the “Sign up for email offers” section:

register american express offers

And fill in the information.

The second method is to go to the American Express menu on your online account, to the“Manage Profile” section:

Then click on“Communication Preferences“.

Then“Marketing Preferences“:

Bottom Line

American Express is certainly the credit card issuer with the most offers for its customers throughout the year. Don’t hesitate to sign up!

It’s a great way to “pay back” the fee for each of your American Express cards!
