To the point Until the end of December 2024, take advantage of the Boxing Event sales at Aeroplan with the opportunity to earn more points or spend less via the eStore!

Yes, this article is dated December 19, 2024, and you may be wondering… Boxing Week Event, before Christmas? Clearly, yes! But we’re not complaining, and this will certainly please those who haven’t finished their holiday shopping yet.

Aeroplan has announced its Boxing Day sales at the eStore, now live! Earn more points per dollar when shopping at Amazon, Apple, Dell, lululemon, Sephora, and many other retailers.

You can also take advantage of discounted redemption prices on items or gift cards from eStore.

Collect More Points With the eStore

In our opinion, the best way to take advantage of the sales is to accumulate more Aeroplan points via eStore.

You can therefore earn up to 5x points at your favourite retailers and on Apple products, until December 29, 2024.

Is it worth it?

This type of eStore promotions come up at key times of the year, such as back-to-school or the week of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. So it can be beneficial to set your strategy and take advantage of these times to do your online shopping blitzes, as long as they are things you really need.

Plus, when you pay for your purchases with a Aeroplan credit card, you can earn up to 1.25 Aeroplan points per dollar spent, in addition to the points multiplier offered via the eStore.

Warning: It’s important to check the list of exclusions, especially at retailers like Apple where some products are excluded from this offer.

Redeem Points

Until December 26, 2024, Aeroplan is also offering a week-long post-Christmas sale in advance to offer discounted point redemption prices in the eStore to save:

  • Up to 25% points on selected items such as Sony Playstations, televisions and coffee makers from the eStore;

Is it worth it?

Using Aeroplan points for items from the eStore is never the best way to spend your points, even at reduced prices. Our estimate puts the value of a Aeroplan point at around 2 cents. The best way to get the most value per Aeroplan point is usually to redeem them for flights.

As for gift cards, don’t forget that this trick lets you accumulate lots of points when you buy gift cards.

Then it’s up to you to see if the merchandise requiring fewer points is exactly what you wanted to buy. Do your calculations to find out if you are satisfied with the value per Aeroplan point, or if you would prefer to buy the same item online elsewhere, accumulating more points.

Bottom Line

Whether you’re shopping for last-minute gifts or for the post-Christmas sales week, it pays to visit the Aeroplan eStore. If your strategy is to earn points, you can multiply those earnings on your purchases and take advantage of online sales offered by retailers.

If you prefer to redeem your points for gift cards or items from the eStoreitems, you can take advantage of attractive prices. This may not be the best use of your points Aeroplan, but sometimes, when our spending is higher than expected, it can be a big help to our budget.

If you pay in cash, don’t forget to use your Aeroplan credit card to collect even more points!
