Aeroplan Elite Status: Select Your Benefits for 2025
With the new year, it’s time to select your Aeroplan Elite status benefits.

The Process of Selecting Benefits
The Aeroplan benefits selection process consists of 2 steps.
With Aeroplan Elite 75k status, here are the first-stage choices:
- 35 eUpgrades credits
- 75% bonus in Aeroplan points with Air Canada and selected partner carriers
- Bonuses of 5,000 SQM and 5 SQS
- 3 status passes
- Aeroplan 35K Status for a friend
- 12 months unlimited wifi access
Here, I’ve chosen the 35 eUpgrades credits that can also be applied to Aeroplan rewards flights and bonus points on Air Canada flights and their partners.
Once the choices have been made and validated, you will not be able to change your mind.
Here are the choices available according to your Aeroplan status:

Upgrade credits are now valid for 12 months from the date of issue. However, if you have an Aeroplan co-branded premium credit card, their validity is extended to 24 months.
For example, if you select these credits as benefits on February 5, 2025, they will remain valid until February 5, 2026. On the other hand, with a co-branded premium credit card, they will expire on February 5, 2027.
Access to Maple Leaf Lounges
All members with Aeroplan Elite status can obtain passes to the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges:

These passes can be shared with the person of your choice. Simply download your digital pass and send it to the traveller (PDF or screenshot of the code).
If you are a Aeroplan 35K or higher member, you already have unlimited access to the Maple Leaf Lounges.
How Can I Obtain Aeroplan Elite Status With Air Canada?
How to Obtain Aeroplan 25K Status
All the criteria for obtaining Aeroplan Elite status have been detailed in this article. It is now possible to obtain the basic status, Aeroplan 25K, without travelling.
Members who accumulate 100,000 Aeroplan points from any eligible source will earn Aeroplan 25K status.
Eligible sources are all base and bonus points earned directly with:
- Air Canada flights
- Aeroplan credit card expenses
- partners (airlines, hotels, eStore , etc.)
Non-eligible sources are all base and bonus points earned with:
- Credit cards welcome bonuses
- point-to-point Aeroplan conversions
- Aeroplan points purchases
- donations or transfers of Aeroplan points
To obtain a Aeroplan 25K status, you will have to take maximum advantage of the promotions offered via the Aeroplan eStore.
But also charge your purchases to an Aeroplan credit card . And even your business purchases with the American Express® Aeroplan®* Business Reserve Card.
