Aeroplan and Manulife have announced an innovative partnership in a world where health and well-being have become significant concerns. This collaboration, the only one of its kind in Canada, offers a new perspective on loyalty programs and individual well-being.
Manulife, one of Canada’s leading insurance companies, joins forces with Aeroplan, the country’s pre-eminent travel loyalty program. This innovative partnership allows Manulife Group Benefits members to earn Aeroplan points by adopting health-promoting behaviours. All this should be in place by early summer 2024.
At the same time, Manulife will be launching a revamped benefits platform in the spring, focused on a digital user experience, in partnership with League. This initiative aims to integrate health, wellness and benefits into a single platform, making managing the overall well-being of Manulife Group Benefits members easier.
As of summer 2024, it will be possible to link your Aeroplan account with your Manulife account (as is already the case with other partners such as Uber and Starbucks).
The Aeroplan points-based reward system is designed to encourage and reward members who adopt healthy lifestyles.
Exercising, practicing mindfulness, and attending health education courses will be rewarded with Aeroplan points, motivating members to take care of their health proactively.
Manulife’s partnership with Aeroplan reflects Manulife Group Benefits’ commitment to evolve beyond claims management. The company aspires to become a complete healthcare partner for Canadians and Canadian employers, which is evident through its recent collaborations, notably with Cleveland Clinic Canada and technology start-up League.
This partnership marks a turning point in how companies can positively influence the health and well-being of their members. By combining the benefits of a well-established loyalty program with a proactive approach to health, this partnership sets a model for the future of group benefits, where well-being and rewards go hand in hand.
