Terms and Conditions of the $100 Annual TD Travel Credit

First, the $100 annual TD Travel Credit is valid only on reservations made on the Expedia for TD portal.

It is valid on the first eligible travel purchase charged to the account between January 1 and December 31 each year. On January 1, the $100 credit is available again, and it does not carry over from year to year if it is not used.

A purchase eligible for the travel credit includes:

  • The purchase of a stay in a hotel, motel, tourist accommodation or vacation rental of CAD 500 or more through Expedia for TD;
  • Or the purchase of a vacation package of CAD 500 or more from Expedia for TD, which includes hotel, motel, tourist accommodation or vacation rental and transportation.

The important aspect to remember is that the amount of $500 or more (in a single transaction) must be charged to the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite* Card and includes fees and taxes.

So this would work for your $450 hotel purchase with $75 in fees, for a total of $525.

If, by chance, you cancel your booking, the credit will simply be returned to your account for you to use again.

At the very bottom, click on Finish booking to finalize your transaction. And there you have it! You will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail from Expedia for TD.

Then, 2-3 days later, you’ll receive another e-mail from TD confirming that the $100 TD Travel Credit has been applied to your account.

For example, you can see below that I made a reservation of around $1,082, which triggered the $500 or more purchase on accommodations condition.

I received my $100 TD Travel Credit and on top of that, I received another $803 credit to my account, as I redeemed 160,600 TD Rewards points to pay off my hotel.

In the end, my $1,082 reservation and my TD Travel credit, along with the redemption of my TD Rewards points, allowed me to pay only $179 for my 5-day accommodation. It’s as if my hotel only cost me about $35 per night for my whole family.

Bottom Line

The TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card has many facets: it’s not just a means of payment, it’s a real companion that helps you travel better and turns your daily expenses into vacation memories.
