Hilton Honors Gold Status

Because it can’t always go wrong with the devaluations of some programs right now, American Express is announcing some good news!

Starting today, Hilton Honors Gold status is available to all Business Platinum Card® from American Express Cardmembers.

Previously, this benefit was only available to American Express Platinum® Cardmembers (for the consumer version).

To join, have your Hilton Honors membership number ready. If you don’t have one, go to their loyalty program page.

Then, you can register for Gold status in two ways:

Hilton Honors Gold Level Benefits

Automatically earning Hilton Honors Gold status with the Business Platinum Card® from American Express is a very convenient benefit. It is a direct pass to a higher status. Plus, it avoids the need for 40 nights, 20 stays, or 75,000 Base points at Hilton hotels.

Also, it allows:

  • Earn a bonus of 80% points in addition to the base points for each stay
  • To have room upgrades (depending on availability)
  • Get complimentary breakfast (or restaurant credit in the U.S.)

Bottom Line

In addition to having a great welcome offer, the Business Platinum Card® from American Express allows you to benefit from perks such as unlimited access to more 1,300 airport VIP lounges worldwide (including the Air France KLM lounge or the National Bank Lounge at Montreal-Trudeau), Marriott Bonvoy Gold status and now Hilton Honors Gold status.

For example, by having this Hilton Honors Gold status, I was able to get a complimentary breakfast for two at Le Dijon restaurant at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Quebec City.

Thanks to that Hilton Honors Gold status, their excellent $24 per person breakfast buffet cost me nothing for two people. In total, I was able to save $48 + taxes + tip, in addition to meeting the friendly waiter Alain.

Also, as of October 1, 2023, the Business Platinum Card® from American Express offers a $120 Annual Wireless Credit.
