Reading Jean-Maximilien’s article on American Express’ Fine Hotels & Resorts program made me want to write an article on the Visa Infinite Luxury Hotels Collection.
Visa also offers its high-end hotel program: Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection. It is reserved for holders of Visa Signature, Visa Infinite / Visa Infinite Privilege and some Visa Gold and Visa Platinum cards.
The Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection includes some of the world’s most prestigious and fascinating establishments, a carefully selected range of hotels exclusively for Visa Infinite card holders. All of the establishments, from the absolutely charming boutique hotels to the world-renowned hotels, have been grouped together by Visa and evaluated annually to offer you a series of exclusive and unique advantages and to provide you with an unparalleled experience.
With each booking, the Visa Infinite card holder gets:
As with the American Express program, for some hotels additional promotions may be offered.
No need to hold any hotel status that would have ensured you breakfast or late check-out. You will have access to a full range of benefits!
To make a booking, go to the Visa Infinite Luxury Hotels Collection website, create your account and then launch the search.

You must book through the dedicated website or through Visa Concierge (telephone line). If you book your stay directly with the chosen hotel without going through the dedicated website or Visa Concierge, you will not be granted privileges.
The room was very spacious, with an en-suite area, a king bed, a large bath that could easily accommodate both of us, a rain shower, a separate toilet area, two sinks… in short, all the space you needed to feel almost at home.
The hotel also has a huge spa (10,000 square feet) which we were able to fully enjoy (spas, Turkish baths, sauna, two relaxation pools including a hydrotherapy pool).
We were also allowed two drinks that we could enjoy at the bar. We have, however, opted to have them delivered to the room…
Of course, we enjoyed the breakfast included (high quality buffet style) which even included scotch to add to our oatmeal (we are great whisky lovers! We had to try the local tradition).
It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel.
We didn’t take advantage of the late check-out because we wanted to visit the Auchentoshan distillery located on the outskirts of Glasgow.
Excellent Lowlands distillery by the way! In fact, I recommend the Auchentoshan Three Wood or the Auchentoshan 18 years old, both generally available at the SAQ (which accepts American Express).
Glasgow has a very different charm from Edinburgh. There is a beautiful balance between tradition and modern art.
Oh yes, and of course, as usual, I made a stop for my collection at the Hard Rock Café!
I mention it often, but fee-based credit cards provide so many more benefits than no-fee cards. However, you need to know how to maximize profits and systematically take advantage of ALL the benefits, including those related to luxury hotels.
There are several, but the following Infinite cards will give you access to this Visa service:
