Air Canada: Promotion to Accelerate Requalification to Aeroplan Elite Status for 2025

To the point Until September 27, 2024, Air Canada is making it easier for you to re-qualify for Aeroplan Elite Status for 2025.

Targeted Offer for Aeroplan Members

From today until September 27, 2024, Air Canada is offering several targeted Aeroplan members with status an opportunity to get a head start for 2025.

These members will earn 2X Status Qualification Miles (SQM), Status Qualification Segments (SQS) and Status Qualification Dollars (SQD).

Please note that the promotion is only available to members who already hold Aeroplan Elite 25K, 35K, 50K, 75K or Super Elite status. These members will be able to get closer to upgrading status sooner thanks to this Air Canada promotion.

But you’ve got to act fast, because the e-mails were sent out this morning to the targeted members, and must be booked by Friday evening.

Conditions of the Offer

Members must reserve in cash by Friday, September 27, 2024 under certain very specific conditions:

  • A flight operated by Air Canada (including Air Canada Express and Air Canada Rouge);
  • The travel period must be between now and November 30, 2024 inclusive;
  • Only the following destinations are eligible:
    • Canada and United States (including Hawaii)
    • Caribbean
    • Mexico
  • Fare options range from Economy Flex to Business Class (Flexible).

Booking with Aeroplan points does not work, nor does the purchase of Unlimited Flight Passes. In addition, reservations already made do not count.

Thereafter, SQMs, SQSs and SQDs will be paid no later than 6 weeks after November 30, 2024.

Is It Worth It?

Yes! It may be worth it to get that little end-of-year boost. Don’t forget to include your Aeroplan membership number in your reservation to ensure you get your rewards.

In addition to earning higher status faster, don’t forget that you’re also earning Priority Rewards! These are highly appreciated and beneficial, because they entitle you to a 50% discount on the Aeroplan points fare for Air Canada or its partners.
