When does the new Starbucks Rewards program come into effect?

The new three-tier program will launch on March 10, 2026, for all members in Canada and North America.

What happens to my current stars during the transition?

All your existing stars will be automatically transferred to the new system. No stars will be lost during the March 10 migration.

How is my initial member tier determined?

Your starting tier (Green, Gold, or Reserve) will be based on your Starbucks Rewards activity during 2025. If you accumulated 500 stars in 2025, you will start at the Gold level; 2,500 stars will grant you Reserve status.

How long do my stars remain valid?

It depends on your tier: Green members must complete a qualifying monthly activity to extend the validity of their stars (6-month base), while Gold and Reserve members benefit from stars that never expire.

Can I combine Starbucks Rewards with other programs?

Yes! You can link your Starbucks Rewards account with certain TD credit and debit cards, as well as with the Aeroplan program to simultaneously accumulate stars and points.
