Couple à la réception d'un hôtel, dévaluation Wyndham Rewards au 15 septembre 2026
To the point Wyndham Rewards moves to 4 tiers on September 15, 2026, with a new 45,000-point top night. Book before to lock in current award rates.

Wyndham Rewards is reworking its award chart on September 15, 2026. The program moves from three to four tiers and adds a new top night at 45,000 points. For the most sought-after hotels, the bill therefore rises by 50%.

There is good news too: a new entry tier at 5,000 points appears. Here is what changes in this Wyndham Rewards devaluation, the key dates and how to book before the increase.

What changes on September 15

The Wyndham Rewards program uses fixed tiers rather than dynamic pricing. Each hotel is tied to a tier, which keeps the math simple. Here is the chart before and after the change.

TierUntil September 14From September 15
Entry7,500 points5,000 points
Mid15,000 points15,000 points
High30,000 points30,000 points
Topn/a45,000 points

A new 45,000-point top tier

The new 45,000-point tier targets a small number of high-end hotels. For these properties, the cost in points rises by 50% compared with the current 30,000-point ceiling.

It is mainly the most in-demand destinations that move to this tier. If you had one of these hotels in mind, it is better to act before mid-September.

Good news: the 5,000-point tier

Not everything goes up. The entry tier drops from 7,500 to 5,000 points per night. Some budget hotels therefore become cheaper on points than they are today.

How to book before the increase

  • Book before September 15: nights booked before that date keep the current rate
  • Favour refundable awards: you lock the rate without a firm commitment
  • Watch for drops: if a hotel moves to a lower tier, you get the difference back

Wyndham confirmed that bookings made before September 15 will be honoured at current rates. Moreover, if a booked hotel sees its rate drop after the change, the program automatically refunds the difference in points.

Our take

This devaluation stays measured. The ceiling rises for a few premium hotels, but the new 5,000-point tier helps budget stays. If a high-end hotel interests you, book before mid-September. To follow this kind of change, sign up for our newsletter.
