Since October 2022, Aeroplan has offered HotelSavers to its members, a platform that lets you book hotels with points at exclusive rates. Until December 31, 2026, Aeroplan credit cardholders can enjoy a 4th hotel night free on stays booked with points.
In other words, if you book four nights in points, you will be charged for only three nights. Here are the main details of the offer:
This offer is highly competitive with Marriott Bonvoy, which provides 5 nights for the price of 4 on points stays. However, the HotelSavers offer stands out by crediting back the average nightly points cost from your total reservation, instead of only crediting the lowest-priced night as Marriott Bonvoy does.

According to Milesopedia’s valuation, one Aeroplan point is worth about 2 cents, but this drops to 0.8 cents when points are used for hotel reservations. In other words, it’s often more valuable to use your Aeroplan points for flight bookings rather than hotel stays.
You can calculate the value of your Aeroplan points with this promotion to decide if it’s a good use of your points.
For example, this Category 6 hotel in Tulum normally costs 162,000 points or $1,567 CAD for four nights. With the free night, you save 30,375 Aeroplan points (the average price of one night) and pay 121,500 points in total.
This gives you a value of 1.28 cents per Aeroplan point, which is quite good for a hotel booking! While this isn’t as high as the redemption value you can get for flights, it’s still an attractive option for nearly free travel.

The new Aeroplan HotelSavers promotion offers exciting points redemption opportunities for Aeroplan credit cardholders. Those who focus primarily on this loyalty program will be able to obtain a higher redemption value for their points on hotel stays of four nights or more.
The fourth free night benefit allows Aeroplan co-branded credit cardholders to get one free night for every four consecutive night stay booked with points via the Aeroplan HotelSavers platform. Specifically, you only pay for 3 nights with points for 4 nights booked.
This offer is reserved for holders of Aeroplan co-branded credit cards issued in Canada and the United States. Cards with points transferable to Aeroplan (such as certain Amex cards with Membership Rewards points) do not provide access to this benefit.
The fourth free night is calculated based on the average points value of all nights booked, rather than simply crediting the cheapest night, which can offer better optimization of your Aeroplan points.
