Can’t find the flight you’re looking for from your departure airport in Canada? Search using the hub as your departure airport. You will then need to book a flight to this destination on your own.

Please note that with this stand-alone connection strategy, the airline is not liable for delays to the first segment and missed connections. Make sure you have enough time to stop over.

How do I earn Aeroplan Points in Canada?

The quickest and easiest way to earn Aeroplan Points is to sign up for a new Aeroplan co-branded credit card. In fact, the welcome bonus you can get with just one of these credit cards may be enough to book a good flight with points. What’s more, American Express cards do not require a minimum income to apply.

What’s more, with a card like the American ExpressMD AeroplanMD* Reserve Card, you can not only enjoy a generous bonus, but also earn Aeroplan points at a higher rate on Air Canada purchases. Other card benefits include:

  • Earn 3X Aeroplan points on eligible Air Canada purchases when you pay with your credit card;
  • Earn Aeroplan points for actual miles flown (depending on fare option selected);
  • Excellent travel insurance;
  • Access to selected Maple Leaf lounges in North America.

Bottom Line
