Here are the main changes to note for the summer of 2023 with this agreement between Air Canada and United Airlines:
Air Canada and United Airlines are also announcing an increase in shuttle-style service at their hubs for the summer of 2023:
Note that Business Class will be offered by both carriers for all flights between their hubs.
Two new non-stop routes have been announced; service between Vancouver and Washington-Dulles will begin June 1 and will be on a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with Air Canada. The frequency will be 5 days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
The flight between Calgary and Washington-Dulles will begin operations on June 2 and will be offered by United Airlines aboard an Airbus A319. It will be a daily flight.
Those of you that are from the west will be pleased to know that there will be increased transborder service between Western Canada and the United States. We are talking about nine daily flights between Vancouver and New York/Newark, Houston or Chicago and seven daily flights between Vancouver and Los Angeles.
An additional daily flight will be added for these routes:
For Air Canada, this announcement completes the domestic schedule, U.S. schedule as well as the international schedule for the summer of 2023.
