Air Canada unveils its new seasonal in-flight menus

To the point Air Canada has announced a brand new culinary program to make the customer experience on board its flights even more enjoyable.

A hundred new seasonal dishes, as well as new snacks and beverages, will be offered in-flight, said the airline, which will launch other delights throughout the year.

The airline reaffirms its trust in long-standing culinary partners: chefs David Hawksworth, Vikram Vij and Jérôme Ferrer, and sommelier Véronique Rivest.

Economy class offers

From Canada

International travelers will discover Thai-style chicken red curry over rice and chicken cacciatore with roasted potatoes and peppers. These dishes join pesto penne and a new offering of pancakes and maple syrup.

From Europe

Travelers will also have the opportunity to try new dishes – in addition to the regional appetizers – such as Monty’s Bakehouse puff pastries. Flavours include chicken / coconut and potatoes / sour cream and chives.

As for the Bistro menu, it will be improved over the spring, Air Canada assures us.

Offers in superior cabins

Air Canada Signature Class

International travelers will enjoy new recipes, including roasted salmon in teriyaki sauce with shandong noodles and Middle Eastern mezzés as starters. Other new products will be launched this spring.

On the drinks front, new champagnes will be on offer, including Duval-Leroy’s Cuvée Brut Réserve. Montellier sparkling water, drawn from Quebec, will also be in the spotlight.

Business class in North America

Among the light meals available on board short flights, you’ll discover a warm flatbread with arugula. The full hot breakfast served on morning flights includes a parsley omelette with chicken sausage.

Development of pre-order service

This year, Air Canada also intends to expand its pre-order service, on board all North American premium cabins.

This service will be launched on flights offering Signature Class and Privilege Economy cabins.

The airline also said that later this year, this program will offer travelers in premium cabins the option of pre-selecting their second choice of meal on board international flights.
