It is possible to book your travel, wherever you wish, with your BMO Rewards credit card. Then apply your points to this expense at the same conversion rate: 15,000 points = $100.
All you have to do is book your flight, hotel night, or car rental through any travel booking site (Expedia, Booking, Marriott, Hilton, Holiday Autos, Auto Europe, etc.).
In the spring of 2022, BMO offered this option on a temporary basis. Here is an example with a hotel booked via Expedia (with a reservation that is fully refundable in case of trip cancellation).
