Postcard Cabins
To the point Marriott International has announced the diversification of its portfolio by integrating two new brands well known to outdoor enthusiasts: Postcard Cabins and Trailborn.

This initiative from Marriott International aims to meet the growing demand for immersive experiences in natural settings, the group stated in a press release.

The Postcard Cabins brand (formerly Getaway Outposts) and Trailborn will be added to the Marriott Bonvoy network. With the launch of the new Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, these accommodations now offer stylish nature getaways fully integrated with the loyalty program, including points and elite benefits. These new partnerships are sure to appeal if you’re looking for accommodations near iconic natural sites in the United States, such as the Grand Canyon, the Rockies, or Shenandoah.

Marriott - Comfort And Nature With Postcard Cabins And Trailborn

Postcard Cabins (formerly Getaway Outposts) offers more than 1,200 micro-cabins, spread across 29 locations in the United States. These accommodations, located within two hours’ drive of major metropolitan areas, are designed for an immersive nature experience while still providing private bathrooms and the modern comforts Marriott guests expect.

Postcard Cabins Locations

With Trailborn, you’ll have access to 559 rooms across multiple locations in the heart of four iconic U.S. destinations, including Rocky Mountain National Park, the Grand Canyon, as well as Highlands and Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina, with an additional property in development in Mendocino, California. Each hotel highlights local heritage and offers immersive nature experiences, from glamping to outdoor activities, tailored for Marriott travellers.

Trailborn Grand Canyon

According to Marriott, these new offerings meet the growing demand for immersive nature getaways that combine modern comfort, a trend especially popular among younger generations.

The launch of the new Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy follows other recent additions to the Marriott portfolio; these include the MGM Resorts hotel collection, the City Express hotels, and most recently, Sonder, which is gradually joining the Marriott Bonvoy program. This means more opportunities for program members to earn and redeem points for free nights. These partnerships provide even more opportunities for members to earn and redeem points, while enjoying unique nature experiences and outdoor activities.

Another one of these additions is the citizenM hotel chain, founded in 2008, known for its contemporary design, collaborative spaces, lively terraces, and advanced use of technology. CitizenM has 36 properties spread across more than 20 cities worldwide. CitizenM hotels do not have a traditional loyalty program; instead, they offer a three-tiered annual mycitizenM+ membership, providing discounts on rooms and at the bar, as well as late checkout.

Marriott is also launching Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors, a digital platform designed to help travellers plan their stays based on their interests. Travellers can explore over 450 hotels, 50,000 Homes & Villas residences, as well as curated experiences and activities, offering direct access to top outdoor adventures such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, glamping, cycling, diving, snorkelling, surfing, and fishing.

Marriott - Save On Accommodation With Points

Starting in 2025, members of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program will have the opportunity to book a cozy stay on the Marriott Bonvoy website.

The fastest way to earn Marriott Bonvoy points in Canada is through credit cards. American Express also offers two credit cards linked to the Marriott Bonvoy program:

Each of these cards allows you to directly earn Marriott Bonvoy points through your daily spending and enjoy exclusive benefits on Outdoor Collection stays, as well as welcome bonuses.

Your valuable points can be redeemed for free nights at Postcard Cabins and Trailborn hotels in the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy. If you spend five consecutive nights at the same property using your points, you’ll only pay for four, while enjoying immersive nature experiences and modern comfort.

Take Off For Less

Air Canada’s Aeroplan loyalty program allows you to earn reward points by flying with Air Canada and its airline partners, as well as by using a credit card affiliated with the program.

With its generous welcome offer, the TDMD AeroplanMD Visa Infinite* card will allow you to offset your flight ticket, while enjoying excellent travel insurance and earning points for your future nature getaways with the Marriott Bonvoy Outdoor collection.
