This winter, Waldorf Astoria opens its first Indian Ocean property in the Seychelles, on Platte Island. The complex will comprise 50 units, mainly beachfront villas with private pools, set around a private lagoon, each with a personal concierge.
Facilities will include six restaurants and bars, a spa with six treatment rooms, a beauty lounge and steam room, a kids’ club, an open-air observatory, tennis courts, and a marine conservation discovery center.
In Okinawa, Japan, the long-awaited Rosewood Miyakojima is scheduled to open in late 2024. It will feature 55 villas with private pools and breathtaking sea views. Designed by Dutch studio Piet Boon, the complex will emphasize harmonious integration with local nature.
