The Westin Tokyo - Booking

Currently, The Westin Tokyo offers rooms from $500 per night, including taxes and fees, or starting from 54,000 points per night for spring 2024.

On our trip, the fare was 42,000 points. We used a 35,000-point Marriott Bonvoy free night certificate by topping up with 7,000 Marriott Bonvoy points (a new option offered by the Marriott Bonvoy program). It is recommended to monitor prices and promotions regularly.

Just a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Station or East-Ebisu Station, The Westin Tokyo offers a central location. You’ll have to cross Yebisu Garden Place to get there.

The Westin Tokyo - Check-in

Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by a staff member for check-in. This 5-star establishment combines elegance with a touch of traditional Japanese decoration. Parts of the hotel have been renovated since February, although we didn’t notice any ongoing construction. When we visited, a newlywed couple was in the middle of a lovely photoshoot in the hotel.

The Westin Tokyo - Room

The hotel offers a variety of rooms, including rooms with two double beds or one king bed, high-floor rooms with access to the Club Lounge, spacious suites, and much more. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, offering ideal space for families.

Here are the different types of rooms we offer:

  • Room with two double beds
  • Room with 1 king bed
  • High-floor room with 2 double beds and Club Lounge access
  • High-floor room with 1 king bed and Club Lounge access
  • High-floor room with 2 double beds, Club Lounge access, and a view of Tokyo Tower
  • One-bedroom suite with 1 king bed and Club Lounge access
  • Executive one-bedroom suite with 1 king bed and Club Lounge access
  • Presidential one-bedroom suite with 1 king bed, Club Lounge access, and a view of Tokyo Tower
  • Imperial suite with 1 king bed, Club Lounge access, and a view of Tokyo Tower

Regarding our room, it was comfortable with two double beds. As Titanium members, we had access to the Executive Club lounge. Compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in, the room had a really nice space, perfect for a family of 4.

At the entrance was the bathroom entrance, and opposite was a closet with iron and ironing board, slippers and bathrobes. This was followed by a buffet with everything you need to make coffee or tea.

Finally, two double beds were arranged with a flat-screen TV in front. In the back of the room was a work desk, two armchairs, and a makeup area.

The bathroom was nice and clean, if a little old-fashioned with its pink tiles. It had the advantage of a shower and bath, which can be rare in Japan. Naturally, there were Japanese toilets with jets and drying facilities.

The Westin Tokyo - Breakfast

The Westin Hotel Tokyo has revamped its catering services. Several restaurants have been renovated and will reopen in autumn 2023:

  • Victor’s French Restaurant with refined French cuisine created by Executive Chef Toshio Numajiri.
  • Ryutenmon Cantonese restaurant serves Chinese cuisine with a great dim sum menu.
  • The Terrace International Restaurant offers international dishes in buffet style.
  • Mai’s Japanese restaurant offers traditional dishes and even a sushi class!
  • Teppanyaki restaurant Yebisu for a taste of Yebisu beef.
  • Executive Bar“The Bar” for sophisticated cocktails and spirits, opening in October 2023.

During our stay, we tried the breakfast service at The Terrace restaurant, located in the hotel lobby. Breakfast offers a wide variety of international dishes and more traditional options to suit all tastes.

The Westin Tokyo - Other services

The Westin Tokyo - Fitness, Pool & Spa

The Westin Tokyo offers a range of quality facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center and Le Spa Parisien offering relaxing treatments. Marriott Bonvoy members will particularly appreciate access to the exclusive Club lounge, which offers a beautiful view of the surroundings.

The Westin Tokyo - Executive lounge

We loved the executive lounge with our children. This is an undeniable advantage for Marriott Bonvoy members with at least platinum status. The hotel staff welcomed us warmly every time, and the service was excellent. The view of the surroundings is also beautiful.

We had breakfast in the lounge two days in a row. It was fully booked and the hot dishes ordered were delicious.

The Westin Ebisu Tokyo - Around the hotel

A variety of attractions, restaurants and sites of interest can be found in the vicinity of The Westin Tokyo, such as:

  • Yebisu Garden Place: a complex housing shops, a pharmacy, a cinema, and restaurants, all set around a pretty central square with fountains.
  • The Sapporo Beer Museum (Yebisu Brewery Tokyo): Sapporo lovers, beware, it’s scheduled to open in April 2024! Here, you can enjoy a tasting and learn about the history of this beer.
  • Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography: It houses a vast collection of Japanese and international works on three levels.
  • Ebisu Shrine: a hidden garden housing a shrine connected to the beer museum.

The Westin Tokyo - My overall impression

Finding affordable accommodation in Japan can be tricky, but using Marriott Bonvoy points makes the luxurious The Westin Tokyo accessible. Despite a short walk to the subway station, its central location and access to the exclusive lounge are valuable benefits for Marriott Bonvoy members.
