The announcement of this partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee (OCOG) is a natural continuation of Air France’s involvement with the Olympic movement, which offered its support to the Paris 2024 bid back in 2016.
“We are proud to extend our partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. After the thrill of Paris being awarded the Games, we can’t wait to contribute to making this global event a success. The Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 speak to our goals and values at Air France. Come summer 2024, we will help the very best of France soar worldwide like never before, on the wings of excellence, respect and inclusion,” said Benjamin Smith, CEO of the Air France-KLM Group.
As official carrier, Air France will ensure that many athletes, supporters and media arrive in France for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in summer 2024. Special attention will be paid to passengers with reduced mobility, thanks to Air France’s Saphir service. We are also thinking of all the logistics that will be necessary to transport the sports equipment of the athletes in each discipline, in particular :
and many others.
Air France will also be present at the Olympic venues, i.e. the Olympic and Paralympic Village, where check-in facilities will be set up to help athletes check in and drop off their luggage and equipment before their return flight.
Air France has been the official carrier of the French Olympic team since 1952, and was the official international partner of the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics.
