Aeroplan has announced that it has renewed its partnership with the Accor Hotels group. Details.
While Air Canada, CIBC, TD and Visa are in the process of finalizing the acquisition of Aeroplan, the program continues to announce partnership renewals. The latest one is with the hotel group AccorHotels.
The group owns more than 4,500 hotels and operates the “Le Club AccorHotels” loyalty program. If it was little known to Canadians a few years ago, the acquisition of the Fairmont group has brought it fully into Canada.
As of July 2, 2018, the program is in fact available at properties under the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtels banners.
By renewing this partnership, Aeroplan members will continue to earn miles through their stay at the group’s 17 luxury and economy hotel banners:
There are 2 ways to earn Aeroplan Miles in this partnership:
Members can simply update their Le Club AccorHotels profile by selecting “Aeroplan” as their automatic conversion preference.
Members must log in to Le Club AccorHotels to convert their points to Aeroplan Miles online in increments of 4,000 (4,000 Le Club AccorHotels points equal 2,000 Aeroplan Miles).
We always recommend using your points & miles in the initial program. The conversion here is not really advantageous, but has the merit of existing.
Through December 31, 2018, Aeroplan members with Diamond or Black status will earn 1,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles for every conversion of Le Club AccorHotels points to Aeroplan Miles.
In addition, all Aeroplan Members with status in the program will also be eligible to receive preferential treatment, based on their level, when booking a stay directly on Fairmont.com using their exclusive Fairmont Aeroplan promotional code (which can be redeemed by logging on to aeroplan.com).
