The Asia Miles promotion
From December 30, 2022 to January 31, 2023, you can transfer your points to Asia Miles from Cathay Pacific and earn 10-15% bonus Asia Miles.
Update: This is a recurring promotion, the last one offered the same bonus and ended on November 12, 2022.
You need to register on this page.
|10 %||Convert credit card points and earn less than 20,000 miles|
|15 %||Convert credit card points and earn 20,000 to 139,999 miles|
This promotion is offered by Asia Miles (so you won’t see any sign of it on the transfer partner’s side).

Here are Asia Miles’ transfer partners in the United States:
- American Express Membership Rewards
- Capital One
- Citi ThankYou
The best transfer partner for earning Asia Miles in Canada is RBC Avion Rewards, followed by HSBC Rewards.
In fact, with the current welcome bonus of 55,000 RBC Avion Rewards points offered by the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card, you could earn up to 63,250 Asia Miles.
This will bring you closer to a business class flight on Qatar Airways, for example!
What to do with Asia Miles
The most exciting options for business class travel with Asia Miles are:
|North America – Oceania/South Africa||85,000 Miles|
|Vancouver – Asia||61,000 Miles|
|Tokyo – Doha – Montreal (Qatar Airways Qsuites)||90,000 Miles|
I had personally transferred RBC points to Asia Miles in January 2020 during a similar promotion to book the Tokyo – Doha – Montreal flight (and thus pay no carrier surcharge since the flight departed from Japan).
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this travel plan has been cancelled. 🙁
But you should know that Qatar Airways offers a regular flight between Montreal and Doha. Consider trying the QSuite with your Asia Miles, starting in Montreal. You are now able to do this with your Avios Miles since a few months.
This is a great promotion if you have travel goals with Asia Miles in the coming months or years! And it allows you to extend the validity of your Asia Miles for another year.
