The Mont-Tremblant mountain offers a wide range of activities. Two Marriott hotels are located in the pedestrian village of Tremblant: the Residence Inn Mont Tremblant Manoir Labelle and The Westin Resort & Spa, Tremblant, Quebec.
This article covers The Westin Resort & Spa, Tremblant, Quebec. Please refer to this other article for the Residence Inn Mont Tremblant Manoir Labelle.
The Westin chain dates back to the 1930s and originated in Seattle. The 2 towers of the Westin Seattle are one of the iconic symbols of the brand. The chain was initially called Western, then Western International in 1963, and finally became Westin (a contraction of Western and International) in 1981. Westin was a chain of Starwoods Hotels that were acquired by Marriott in 2016.
The Westin is part of the Premium category at Bonvoy.
The hotel also accepts pets.
We took the opportunity to stay there with our dog Zodiak who often travels with us and whom we introduced to you in this article.
The Westin features 53 rooms and 69 suites spread over 6 floors. It was built in 2000 and the rooms were completely renovated in 2014.

Hotel details (The Westin Resort & Spa, Tremblant, Quebec)
The Westin Resort & Spa, Tremblant, Quebec is located 1h30 from Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport in the heart of Mont Tremblant village.
All activities in the area are within walking distance.
We’re here in a pedestrian village environment at the foot of magnificent Mont-Tremblant. The options are numerous, ranging from hiking, biking, golf, spa, skiing… depending on the season. The village also offers a wide variety of shopping and dining options.
As for us, we took a trip to Mont-Tremblant National Park, about a 30-minute drive from Tremblant village. We escaped in this vast nature so typical of our beautiful province.
The main lobby is very inviting and warm with its huge natural gas fireplace. Armchairs and side tables allow you to lounge around, especially since the large windows offer a soothing view of the hotel’s inner courtyard. The stone patterned tiles blend well with the stone covering the bottom of the walls and the fireplace mantel. The ensemble exudes luxury and a touch of opulence.
The lobby desk is located to the right of the entrance. True to form, we had confirmed our check-in in advance through the app and thanks to the chat, we were able to get a suite upgrade because of our Platinum status.
Behind the desk, four large illuminated panels create the illusion of a birch forest against a blue sky, reminding us that we are on the edge of a huge natural park.
In the biglobby, there is also a work area with computer and printer. A large high table with 8 “bar” type chairs (higher and with footrest) also allows several people to work together as needed.
The Westin Tremblant offers 5 room types:
Our room was a 1 bedroom suite, 2 queen size beds, sofa bed, fireplace. We had room 307.
The suite is quite large and the space division is very pleasant. Upon entering, we saw the kitchenette area on the left, followed by a dining area and then the lounge with fireplace in front of us. On the right, the bathroom and then, at the back, the bedroom.
The maximum occupancy of the Suite is 6 people (2 double beds and a sofa bed) which can be a great advantage for families.
The kitchenette area (called the kitchen area at Westin) includes:
There is very limited work space for preparing meals. This is a functional space for a minimalist kitchen, which is more of a “side kitchen”.
The floor of the dining area as well as the lounge is covered with a dark brown carpet. There is a fairly large rectangular table and 6 relatively comfortable dining chairs.
If there is no desk in the suite, the dining table can be used as a work table.
The lounge, connected to the dining room, has a large fabric sofa bed, two armchairs and two footstools. Two side tables are also available for you to put food, reading material and other items on. Rather large, it can easily accommodate up to 6 people by moving chairs from the dining table.
The lounge has a natural gas fireplace. Next to the fireplace and enclosed in an alcove, a piece of furniture houses a flat screen television.
A beautiful large window provides light and brightness to this section of the suite. In addition, a glass door gives access to the balcony. The latter is also quite large and is equipped with 4 chairs and a table, allowing you to spend a good time outside while admiring the landscape and the lively pedestrian village.
The overall décor of the open-plan kitchenette, dining and lounge area is reminiscent of a beautiful fall evening with red leafy frames; dark chocolate furniture; caramel-coloured ottomans, cabinets and front door; and beige walls.
We enjoyed cooking, eating or simply relaxing after a beautiful day outdoors in this bucolic setting.
The bedroom is a separate room. This is something we particularly appreciate because some people prefer to go to bed or get up at different times. Thus, it is quite possible for everyone to go about their business while letting others (children or spouses) sleep.
Moreover, in this case, the bathroom is located at an angle to the bedroom and kitchenette. The two rooms are connected directly through a door to the bathroom. Ideal to guarantee maximum sound or light insulation to those in the room.
Our room has two double beds. The walls take on the beige colour of the rest of the Suite and perhaps invite a light morning kiss or a sweeter goodnight kiss! The decoration evokes nature. A large window along the outside terrace provides natural light.
A cabinet with three drawers, placed opposite one of the two beds, houses a television.
A closet completes the storage space in the bedroom while the floor is covered with the same carpet as the lounge and dining room. The iron and ironing board are in this closet.
The bathroom has a standard toilet, a sink, a mirror and a bath-shower.
The visual signature of the bathroom is rather conventional and uncluttered. The counter is small considering a suite that can accommodate 6 people.
Contrary to some hotels that follow the ecological approach regarding beauty products containers (shampoo, conditioner, liquid body soap), this hotel has individual containers.
As mentioned above, the bathroom offers 2 doors, one gives access to the bedroom while the other gives access to the dining room.
Truly pet-friendly, the hotel even offers a little treat for the dog, namely a bone-shaped container… in which was a roll of doggie scoop bag!
In addition, the hotel also provides a handle hook to notify the staff of the presence of a pet in the Suite.
This is a large and comfortable suite. It can accommodate up to 6 people, and you can cook full meals.
The general atmosphere evokes relaxation and a bit of autumn as well as gastronomy with its dark chocolate, caramel and beige tones. It also allows for privacy between the occupants according to their schedules. We also really appreciated the balcony, which allows us to enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Allow me to add a little anecdote here.
On a fairly regular basis, the Marriott hotel group offers promotions to attract customers during slower periods.
I was surprised to discover one for The Westin hotel in Mont-Tremblant, including September, when the colorful display of leaves was still attracting crowds.
No matter.
So I booked two nights for just over $200 each and used my upgrade requests obtained through my platinum status. Of course, it’s always up to the hotel to honor them, depending on how busy the establishment is.
I also pointed out that I had retired during the pandemic and had had few opportunities to celebrate it.
Well! 48 hours before my arrival, I was notified that I had been upgraded to a suite. The big one! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge, full kitchen, balcony. And the staff celebrated my retirement with a card, balloons and chocolates. Thank you!
I did try to extend this idyllic stay, just a stone’s throw from the village, the cabriolet (free) and the gondola ($23). But you know, at the regular rate of $608, I realized it wasn’t going to happen.

A large underground parking lot is available for a fee. In addition, two charging stations for electric cars are also available.
Unfortunately, during this COVID period, breakfasts are only offered in brown bags. You have to go and get them from the reception and come back to your room to eat them.
The Gypsy restaurant was unfortunately closed. It is located within the hotel, next to the lobby.
The hotel has an outdoor heated swimming pool and jacuzzi. At the time of our visit, the pool was open and accessible. It is surrounded by a magnificent small wooded area, which gives it a nice privacy.
There are tables, Algonquin chairs, deckhairs… in short, everything you need to relax and feel good. The Jacuzzi is surrounded by rock and stone, amplifying the feeling of warmth provided by its hot water.
The hotel has a fitness room.
The hotel offers 365 m² of event space, ideal for a conference, business meeting, reception or wedding.
We had requested and obtained a late check-out for this stay. The check-out process is always very simple with Bonvoy and we have the option of receiving a copy of the invoice by email.
Thehotel The Westin Resort & Spa, Tremblant is a magnificent hotel located in the heart of Tremblant’s pedestrian village. It is a category 7 hotel of the Marriott chain (whereas the Residence Inn Mont-Tremblant Manoir Labelle is a category 6).
We had a great time in the Suite and enjoyed the peacefulness of The Westin hotel. Ending the day with a good home-cooked meal and a good bottle of wine allowed us to maximize our time on the mountain without having to finish early to get home.
We recommend that you always bring your own bottles when staying at the hotel. All hotels can provide you with wine glasses and even a corkscrew.
As this hotel also welcomes dogs, we were able to enjoy the fresh air with our dog Zodiak.
