In Ibiza, two Marriott hotels are vying for attention: the W Ibiza and the Hotel Riomar, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Our stay of just two nights, from August 4 to 6, promised to be a busy one: two iconic shows awaited us, David Guetta at Ushuaïa and Eric Prydz at UNVRS. And we also wanted to be able to relax, enjoy the sea and sunbathe on the beach.
Riomar turned out to be the perfect compromise: a peaceful atmosphere, direct access to the sand and sea, and a comfortable room where we could unwind after an electrifying night. The seafront promenade, the loungers on the beach, and Ibiza’s soft light made every moment of relaxation especially enjoyable.
In terms of bookings, summer in Ibiza drives up prices, but the Riomar offered excellent value for money. A standard room was €520 per night, versus €616 for the W Ibiza, or 81,500 Marriott Bonvoy points versus 98,500 points respectively.
Choosing the Riomar allowed us to enjoy a relaxing stay, while maximizing our points and budget, with breakfast included thanks to our Titanium status. Each morning, enjoying a coffee overlooking the sea before heading to the beach or strolling along the promenade set the tone for a stay that was both relaxing and fully immersive in the Ibizan ambience.

Riomar Ibiza, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, enjoys a prime location on the Santa Eulalia promenade, directly facing the beach. This setting offers immediate access to the sand and sea, while keeping you close to restaurants, cafés, and local boutiques.
The atmosphere is relaxed, far removed from the buzz of the clubs in the south of the island, making it the perfect place to unwind after lively nights out. The pedestrian promenade along the seafront is ideal for leisurely strolls, and the green spaces surrounding the hotel add a pleasant touch of nature and freshness.
Riomar Ibiza, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, features a bright and welcoming lobby where you immediately feel the hotel’s peaceful atmosphere. Check-in was quick, with attentive and friendly staff. As Titanium members, we were upgraded from a Deluxe Rio Guest Room, 1 King, Balcony to a Deluxe Sea View Guest Room, 1 King, Beachfront, Balcony. The entire experience reflected efficient service and a relaxing vibe, true to the boutique spirit of this property.
Our Deluxe Sea View Guest Room, located on the third floor in a corner of the hotel, offered welcome privacy and, above all, a panoramic view of the Mediterranean.
Each morning, the sunrises from our balcony were truly breathtaking — the kind of moment that leaves you speechless, coffee in hand, simply taking in the beauty of the surroundings. At 24 m², the room is standard in size, but its modern, minimalist design in white, cream, brown, and ebony tones creates an elegant seaside atmosphere. The large cream-tiled floor and full-width patio door flood the space with natural light.
The balcony, which spans the full width of the room, is furnished with two rattan armchairs and a café-style table, perfect for enjoying the beach view. Inside, there’s a work desk, an espresso machine (essential for morning coffee in a bathrobe), and conveniently placed power outlets, including USB and USB-C ports, all adding to the room’s practicality.
A small welcome gift of lemon cookies was waiting for us upon arrival. Storage space is limited but sufficient for a short stay. The marble bathroom, featuring a spacious shower and several lighting options, including a very handy night mode, completes the experience, seamlessly blending design, comfort, and stunning views.
Our Deluxe Sea View Guest Room, 1 King, Beach Front, Balcony, offered a restful yet exotic experience. From the moment you enter, you’re greeted by a contemporary decor in light tones, punctuated by warm touches reminiscent of the seaside spirit. The well-appointed space is flooded with natural light, thanks to large bay windows overlooking the beach and sea.
The king-size bed, with its quality linens and plentiful pillows, ensured a restful sleep after an active day. The private balcony, a true extension of the room, was the ideal place to enjoy a coffee as the sun rose over the ocean.
Overall, the room combines elegance, functionality and a relaxed ambience, creating an environment where you feel instantly transported elsewhere.
The Riomar Ibiza, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, focuses on high-quality dining in an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed. With several dining venues, each offering its own unique ambiance, it’s easy to switch between lively gatherings and quieter moments.
During our stay, we especially enjoyed the Ocean Brasserie & Bar, which we chose twice for dinner. Seated on the outdoor terrace facing the Mediterranean, we savoured refined dishes such as tuna tataki, salt-crusted sea bream, grilled octopus, perfectly prepared vegetables, and tender, flavourful lamb.
Everything was expertly done, from presentation to preparation, and the service was impeccable, attentive, friendly, and discreet. One of the highlights of this venue is its peaceful atmosphere. Set slightly away from the bustle of the town centre, the hotel offers a level of privacy that’s rare in Ibiza, a notable difference from the more energetic and lively vibe at W Ibiza. Here, you can enjoy dinner in complete serenity, soothed by the sound of the waves.
In the morning, we headed to Riva for a generous and varied breakfast buffet, perfect for starting the day off right. With plenty of options, from European classics to more unique offerings, there’s something for everyone. Fresh fruit, pastries, hot dishes, cold cuts, cheeses, omelettes, and a variety of juices are all well presented and regularly replenished. The space is filled with natural light, making the experience even more enjoyable, especially when you can linger over your meal on the terrace.
The hotel also offers service at the Pool Deck, perfect for a snack or a drink by the pool, as well as full service on Santa Eulalia Beach, complete with comfortable loungers. Even without having tried these dining options, they add an extra touch of comfort and relaxation to the overall experience.
Riomar features two outdoor pools: one traditional and a shallower one that’s perfect for children. Around the pools, there’s a variety of loungers available, including single, double, and canopy beds, so everyone can find their ideal spot to relax.
The private beach at Santa Eulalia completes the experience, offering comfortable loungers and table service accessible with a simple QR code, perfect for enjoying a cocktail or snack without leaving your seat. These spaces create a true haven of peace, where you can alternate between swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing with a book by the sea.
The hotel also offers a multi-purpose space, the TRIBE, which hosts various activities such as yoga sessions, workshops or even private receptions. This space adds a flexible, dynamic dimension to the hotel, while remaining integrated into the Riomar’s calm, seaside ambience.

The Riomar Fitness Studio is simple, functional, and bright, providing a pleasant space to work out while on vacation. Even though we didn’t use it, it has an inviting atmosphere for exercise and allows you to maintain your fitness routine with flexibility. Set slightly back from the hustle and bustle of central Ibiza, the hotel offers a calm, seaside setting, while remaining within easy reach of Ibiza’s most iconic landmarks.
During our stay, we attended two must-see shows: David Guetta – F* me I’m Famous 2025 at Ushuaïa Ibiza** and Eric Prydz – HOLOSPHERE 2.0 at UNVRS. Both shows were electrifying: everyone danced, the atmosphere was party-like, and the energy of EDM music’s mega-stars was palpable.
Prydz’s show, in particular, is visually stunning and features powerful sound that resonates throughout the entire UNVRS club. After these unforgettable nights, the hotel was the perfect place to unwind, with a comfortable room and a sea-facing balcony to recharge.
Between these shows, we dedicated a day to relaxation and exploring on foot. I took the opportunity to go for a run along the coast, alternating between unspoiled natural scenery and the livelier areas around the marina and the waterfront promenade. Whether in the morning or at the end of the day, the walk is enjoyable, offering a nice contrast between nature and local activity.
The area around the hotel also offers several ways to enjoy the sea and sun: the private beach at Santa Eulalia, loungers and service at the Pool Deck, and complimentary bicycles to explore the surroundings at your own pace. Whether during the day or in the evening, it’s easy to plan relaxing moments, beach activities, or excursions to discover the island.
