The hotel is located in the heart of the historic center on Calle Fernandez y Gonzalez 4.
Its location makes it a real asset, as there are many points of interest only a few minutes away on foot: the Cathedral of Seville and the Giralda (100 meters), the Real Alcázar (fortified palace at 450 m) or the famous Plaza de España (1.5 km).
Being located in the center of town, you can easily enjoy the many restaurants, cafes and stores around.
To get to the hotel, it takes about 15 minutes by cab (about $20) from the Seville – San Pablo Airport (SVQ). The establishment is located in a pedestrian zone, where only cabs can access.
As soon as we arrived, we were taken care of by the valet who took care of our bags, then by the receptionist to finalize the check-in. During this time, we were offered a choice of drink (glass of sherry, fruit juice or water).
We had originally booked a Deluxe room and received an upgrade to a Grand Deluxe room with a king bed and a terrace. upgrade to a Grand Deluxe room with a king bed and terrace.
On the other hand Elite Membership Benefitse Platinum on the way upwe had a choice of breakfast or 750 points. As a welcome gift, we are offered a 1,000 point bonus or a $10 credit on food and drinks.
Once we finished checking in, the valet accompanied us to our rooms. He took the time to show us the main room, the private terrace, the operation of the air conditioning as well as the instructions for the coffee machine and the safe.
He also mentioned that the fan on the bedside table and the two bottles of water are free.
The room is very spacious and tastefully decorated. It is composed of a sofa-living room and a dining table.
The cabinet under the television contains the minibar and the Nespresso coffee machine, as well as an assortment of teas (free) and sweets (for a fee).
The locker room is very large and has an iron and shoe care facilities.
On the other hand, the bathroom is not very big, but functional. Since we had booked two rooms, we noticed that some of the bathrooms have a shower and a bathtub, while others have only a shower.
If you have a preference, please specify it before your arrival.
Small surprise, bottles of perfume for men and women Agua de Sevilla for men and women are also offered.
All rooms have a terrace or balcony, which includes a sitting area and a place to eat, offering an incredible view of the cathedral and the Giralda.
However, the terrace offers little privacy, as the wall between its neighbors is not very high and the roof terrace is right above you.
Since it was very hot during the day, no one was outside, so it didn’t really bother us. In the evening, the Giralda is illuminated and you can hear the sound of the bells until midnight.
As for the room, it is perfectly soundproofed. You will not be disturbed by the nightlife.
Breakfast is served between 6:30 and 10:30 a.m. in a mixed formula, between buffet and some hot a la carte options.
The buffet offers a wide selection of breads, pastries, fruits, cheeses and cold cuts. As for the menu, we have the choice between sweet (waffles, pancakes and churros) and savory (omelet, eggs Benedict with Iberian ham, etc.).
Thanks to the Titanium status we got free breakfast instead of $40 CDN per person per day.
While we enjoyed the breakfast, it is possible to find cheaper options in the area.
La Maestria is the hotel’s only restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The decoration is beautiful with contemporary and Spanish inspirations.
The menu, which is mainly made up of typical Sevillian and Andalusian dishes, is quite limited, but sought after. The dishes are tasty and the prices are average for a hotel restaurant.
The gym, on the second floor, is open 24 hours a day. It is equipped with bikes, mats and an elliptical machine.
The roof terrace offers a panoramic view and a swimming pool, equipped with a system adapted for disabled people to swim.
It is very easy to visit Seville on foot, especially from the Querencia de Sevilla, which is close to everything: the historic district Santa Cruz, theUniversity of Seville (former tobacco factory that you can visit!) the Museo del baile flamenco (Flamenco Museum), the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville or the park of Maria Luisa.
We had a pleasant stay with our family at the hotel Querencia de Sevilla, where we were seduced both by the location and by the different services offered.
The staff is professional and efficient. We will definitely return on our next visit to Seville.
