I have made it a habit to always use National Car for my car rentals whether in Canada or the United States.
It must be said that they have a great program for Executive Elite members in their Emerald Club program:
I am an Executive Elite member through my American Express Platinum Card and thanks to the BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard and its affiliation with National Car, I will be able to earn 4 points per dollar spent and get a discount on the rental price.
In addition, this card offers very good coverage for car rentals.
