Among the three high-end Aeroplan credit cards, they all offer the same earning rates (including 1.25 points for out-of-category purchases). However, CIBC’s fees are different ($149 instead of $199 for the additional TD card). But $50 instead of $100 for the Nexus fee rebate.

As for American Express, the American Express® Aeroplan®* Reserve Card stands out for its high accumulation rate for purchases with Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations: 3 points per dollar. However, it doesn’t offer 6 airport lounge access points, or a discount on Nexus fees.

However, unlike CIBC and TD, which require an individual income of $150,000 or a family income of $200,000, American Express® Aeroplan®* Reserve Card requires no minimum income.
