Marriott Bonvoy is doing in 2021 what it did in 2020.
Marriott Bonvoy members who achieved elite status in 2020 will receive a credit of Elite Nights equivalent to 50% of what they earned in 2020:
These elite nights were deposited in the account of eligible Marriott Bonvoy members on 1 February 2021.
In addition, these bonus elite nights will stack upon the one already earned like the 15 Elite-Nights for being a Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Cardmember or a Marriott Bonvoy™ Business American Express® Cardmember.
For example, I had Titanium Elite status in 2020, and I hold the Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card: which will allow me to get 38 Elite Nights and 15 Elite Nights or 53 Elite Nights (thus ensuring that I will achieve at least Platinum Elite status without having made a single stay in 2021).
The next Marriott Bonvoy promotion will allow you to earn double points and double elite nights for all stays of 2 nights or more from February 16, 2021 to April 27, 2021!
Registrations are open and accessible directly from your Marriott Bonvoy account.
Thus, for each 2-night stay you make, you will get 4 Elite Nights, which will greatly simplify your access to a higher status (or allow you to easily renew your current status).
For example, you can use our complete map of Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Canada to locate and book Marriott Bonvoy hotels.
Did you know that? You can support milesopedia by using our Marriott Bonvoy affiliate link to book your hotel nights! You won’t pay more, you’ll get all the benefits of your status and you’ll contribute to the future of the site and its community!
Check our partners’ pages regularly!
Finally, for all stays booked between January 11 and February 21, 2021 (for hotel stay before September 30, 2021), Marriott Bonvoy will offer you a 10% discount on off-peak rates.
As a reminder, here are the off-peak, standard and peak rates:
Thus, rates will be from 4,500 points (hotels in category 1) to 63,000 points (hotels in category 8).
For example, a hotel such as the Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, Dubai could be booked for only 63,000 points per night (it’s what have been possible at the time of the transition between Starwood Preferred Guest and Marriott Bonvoy, at that time, I booked it for 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night!).
Congratulations to Marriott Bonvoy for taking the lead in making it easier for members to renew their Elite status in this difficult year when travel will still be limited.
