Eurowings follows in the footsteps of Eurowings Discover (now Discover Airlines), by becoming an Aeroplan partner. From now on, you can use your Aeroplan points to book flights on Eurowings, in both economy and business class.
As a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, Eurowings operates flights in Europe, Africa and the Middle East from its hubs in the following cities: Berlin, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart.
Here is an overview of the destinations served by Eurowings, according to the FlightConnections website:
Points prices for flights on Eurowings will follow the chart established for award flights on Aeroplan partner airlines.
Eurowings flights can also be added to itineraries, increasing the possibility of redeeming points for award flights in Europe and abroad.
Aeroplan is already a partner of the other Lufthansa Group airlines, i.e. :
With connectivity already well established between these airlines, there will be no shortage of options for redeeming Aeroplan points.
For example, you can fly from Stockholm to Berlin for 7,500 points in economy class, or 15,000 points in business class and $70 in fees and taxes.
You can also create an itinerary for a trip to several European destinations using your Aeroplan points. This itinerary, including a flight from Montreal to Lisbon and another flight from Lisbon to Cologne, would cost 47,500 points + $165.41 in economy class fees and taxes.
