A few days ago, Brussels Airlines announced the opening of a seasonal direct line between Montreal and Brussels.
This will be performed 5 times a week from 29 March to 24 October 2020:
The good news: Brussels Airlines is one of the airlines that does not charge any carrier surcharges when using Aeroplan Miles (such as Swiss, TAP, Turkish or United, other airlines that offer low-cost flights to Europe).
And the availability is pretty good. Here is for example for the first two weeks of May (capture via Award Flights):
For those who would like to travel in business, however, it seems that Brussels Airlines does not allow these Aeroplan Miles to be used on this flight.
This was already the case on the flight from Toronto to Brussels, where business class tickets were rare.
This is good news and represents a new alternative to join Europe with Aeroplan Miles!
