Porter: New links between Montreal and Western Canada and Ottawa-Winnipeg

To the point Porter Airlines announces new routes for spring 2024 linking Montreal to Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton, as well as a non-stop flight between Ottawa and Winnipeg.

A week after announcing the launch of a joint venture with Air Transat to share their networks, Porter continues its expansion with the announcement of three new round-trip routes to Montreal and Western Canada, in addition to a route between Ottawa and Winnipeg.

With its new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft due for delivery in 2022, and the order for a further 25 aircraft announced last week, Porter now offers destinations such as :

  • Canada’s west coast
  • the southern United States
  • Mexico
  • and the Caribbean

It is now possible to book the new daily round-trip routes linking Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to Vancouver International Airport (YVR), Calgary International Airport (YYC) andEdmonton International Airport (YEG). These flights will operate from the following dates and times:

This new service will connect Halifax, Toronto-Pearson and Billy Bishop via Montreal. Porter’s connections to Western Canada are still new, following the recently announced Ottawa-Calgary, Ottawa-Vancouver and Toronto-Vancouver routes.

Porter - New non-stop flight between Ottawa and Winnipeg

Tickets for the new non-stop flight betweenOttawa International Airport (YOW) and Winnipeg’ s Richardson Airport (YWG) are on sale now at the introductory rate of $525. The flight will be offered from May 16, 2024 on a daily basis and the schedule is as follows:

This new route will enable travellers from Manitoba to stop over in Ottawa on their way to Boston, Charlottetown, Fredericton, Halifax, Moncton, New York, Thunder Bay, Toronto (Pearson and Billy Bishop airports) and Ottawa. St. John’s .

Winnipeg will thus become the 14th destination served by Porter from the nation’s capital.

Consistent connectivity between Winnipeg and Ottawa-Gatineau is essential for business and leisure travelers. Porter’s appropriately sized jets, coupled with its robust presence in the National Capital Region, create an optimal environment for success on this key route.
