Skytrax World Airline Awards 2025 – The Canadian Winners

Air Canada won awards in the following six categories, one more than in 2024:

  • Best airline in North America;
  • Best family carrier in North America;
  • Best in-flight catering service in premium economy class in North America;
  • Best business class catering service in North America;
  • Best cabin crew in Canada;
  • Best cabin crew in North America.

In addition, Air Canada received awards for its service at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport (YYZ):

  • Best food and beverage service in a lounge in North America;
  • Best business-class lounge in North America.

Air Canada Rouge also won the award for best low-cost airline in Canada.

Porter Airlines was named Best Regional Airline in North America for the second year running.

This is not really surprising, as they have been very active over the past two years with:

  • More than 2,500 new employees;
  • The addition of 44 new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft to its fleet, for a total of 73 aircraft, including 29 Dash 8-400s;
  • The announcement of several new itineraries and destinations.
