Porter Airlines expands fleet with 25 new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft
Porter Airlines has exercised its purchase rights to order a further 25 Embraer E195-E2s. These are in addition to its existing order of 50 aircraft signed earlier this year. The aim is to expand the airline’s services to new destinations in North America.
This agreement, valued at US$2.1 billion, brings the total number of Embraer aircraft orders to 75, with deliveries scheduled from 2025.
Comfort and capacity
Porter Airlines‘ trademark is an enhanced economy-class travel experience. With aircraft in two-by-two configuration, there are no middle seats. Porter has also chosen to install only 132 seats on board its aircraft instead of 146, offering 36, 34 or 30 inches of legroom for its passengers.
In addition, free wireless internet is available on board, along with premium alcoholic beverages and snacks.
