Expedia is one of the largest online travel booking websites used in the world. In Canada, Expedia offers its services to customers of various institutions such as TD Bank.
For example, TD customers can use the Expedia for TD portal to use their TD Rewards points for travel.
Expedia and Expedia for TD are similar platforms: you will find the same prices for the same types of trips. You will be able to book a flight, a hotel room or rent a car. Plus, if you find a cheaper flight + hotel package within 24 hours of booking, or a cheaper price for a hotel up to 48 hours before check-in, Expedia will refund the difference.
Expedia for TD is only available to holders of certain TD credit cards that offer TD Rewards points. Through the Expedia for TD platform, you can redeem your TD Rewards points for travel. There are no blackout dates or restrictions.
While Expedia.ca has its own program: Expedia Rewards.
With Expedia for TD, you can book:
Don’t forget to use the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card to benefit from travel insurance and earn more TD Rewards points!
In addition, use your 4 free passes to access airport lounges around the world, thanks to DragonPass and Visa Airport Companion.
It’s easy to redeem TD Rewards points through the Expedia for TD portal:
At checkout, choose to use your TD points. The text in the green square will tell you the amount and points required. Each 200 points reduces the cost of the trip by $1.
You can also complete the payment with your TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card if you don’t have enough TD Rewards points available.
There you go! Congratulations on your TD Rewards points savings. We love it!
Sometimes Expedia for TD offers discounts or the opportunity to earn more TD Rewards points. We saw this recently:
This allows you to save even more or use fewer points.
On the TD Rewards page, log in to your profile.
Then, in the Redeem section, click on Book Any Way Travel.
On the next page, click on Redeem your TD Points now.
Enter the requested travel transaction information, then click Next.
The trip must have been purchased within the last 3 months.
You’ll need to confirm the operation and select the number of points to redeem. Each 250 TD Rewards points reduces your bill by $1.
You may receive an error when making this exchange on Book Any Way Travel. Call Customer Service at 1-800-983-8472.
In order to use the Expedia for TD portal, you must be a TD credit card holder participating in the TD Rewards program.
For example, with the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card you can earn 8 TD Rewards points per dollar by booking a trip through Expedia for TD.
Another way is to use this practical card for everyday purchases:
Plus, with the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card you’ll receive a $100 TD Travel Credit on your first eligible travel purchase between January 1 and December 31 of each year.
On January 1, the $100 credit becomes available again. However, it does not accumulate from year to year if not used.
A purchase eligible for the travel credit includes:
All that matters is that $500 or more (in a single transaction) must be charged to the TD credit card, including fees and taxes. Then, 2 to 3 days later, you’ll receive an e-mail from TD confirming the application of the $100 Travel Credit.
Then the travel credit will simply appear in your account!
