What to Do in Ottawa

Visit the Canadian War Museum

The Canadian War Museum regularly presents exhibitions that trace the key moments of war and peace, including:

  • “Invasion! – Canadians and the Battle of Normandy, 1944”, marking the 80th anniversary of this epic battle, will run until November 17, 2024.

Stroll Along the Rideau Canal

Located 30 minutes east of downtown Ottawa, Ferme Proulx will be offering a wide range of activities until October 27, 2024. The Pumpkin Festival will entertain the whole family with its wagon rides, tricycle park and mazes.

In Kanata, you could attend an Ottawa Senators field hockey game. It’s a must-see experience for sports fans. The Canadian Tire Centre vibrates with excitement at every game.

Gatineau Park

Gatineau Park is a huge playground and a wonderful Canadian outdoor destination. It’s a natural gem located near Ottawa.

Treat yourself to a leisurely walk on easy trails along peaceful lakes, or go on more challenging excursions leading to spectacular views of the region. Cycling is also popular, with trails to suit all levels.
