Here is our tutorial to help you convert your HSBC World Elite Mastercard Reward Points into miles.
HSBC World Elite Mastercard Reward Points
You can use these reward points for any travel purchase: flights, train tickets, rental cars, hotels, Airbnb rentals, etc). The same applies to any booking made through a travel agency such as Expedia.
Or you can convert your reward points into miles. HSBC Rewards is a partner with three airline loyalty programs:
- Asia Miles – Cathay Pacific
- Krisflyer – Singapore Airlines
- Executive Club – British Airways
As soon as you have 25,000 points in your account, you can convert them into miles. Then in increments of 10,000 points.
Here are the rates for transferring HSBC Rewards points into miles:
|HSBC Rewards Points||Miles||Ratio|
|Asia Miles||25 000||8 000||0.32|
|Krisflyer||25 000||9 000||0.36|
|Executive Club||25 000||10 000||0.4|
And regularly, there are points transfer promotions between HSBC and these partners such as British Airways Executive Club.
Choose the program to convert your Reward Points
Once in the HSBC Rewards portal, select the“Miles Program” option from the“Redeem Now” menu. Alternatively, you can click on this link to go to this page.
Then choose one of the partner programs such as Asia Miles, Singapore KrisFlyer or British Airways Executive Club and click on “Redeem your points now.”
Then choose the number of points you want to redeem from the drop-down menu and enter your first name, last name and partner program membership number. Please note that these must be absolutely identical with the information in your airline partner account.
Then click on “Add to shopping cart.”
Then, once in your cart, you will have to confirm once by clicking on “Proceed to checkout”.
Then a second time by entering your email address and clicking on “Redeem”.
You should then receive the value of the points redeemed in miles directly into the airline partner’s account within 5-10 days.
