This multi-year partnership is part of Air Canada’s NHL jersey advertising program, Air Canada said in a press release.
France Margaret Bélanger, President, Sports and Entertainment, Groupe CH, was enthusiastic about the agreement.
“We entrust Air Canada to move our players from city to city, and now that connection will be featured on the ice itself, as our team plays before our fans in NHL markets everywhere.”
The airline’s logo will be sewn onto the top right-hand corner of the CH team’s official road jerseys.
The Montreal team wore their new jerseys on Wednesday night against the Anaheim Ducks in California. The Canadian ended a four-game losing streak with a 4-3 victory at the Honda Center.
As part of this agreement, the airline has indicated that at the end of each season, the Air Canada Foundation and the Canadiens Children’s Foundation will auction off a set of game-worn road jerseys, for the benefit of charitable organizations.
