If you’re short of Aeroplan points to book an air award, take advantage of this points purchase promotion.
Until July 3, 2025, you’ll receive a discount of up to 30% when you purchase 10,000 points or more.
This is a recurring promotion: the last offers gave a price reduction of up to 30% in May 2025. Another promotion offered up to 90% in bonus points until last June.
You can save up to 30% when you purchase Aeroplan points. Here are the details of the discounted purchase:
Please note that these percentages or point levels may change slightly depending on your Aeroplan profile.
You may purchase or donate up to 250,000 Aeroplan points per transaction to take advantage of this offer. The maximum allowable is 1,000,000 Aeroplan points per calendar year.
For your information, sales taxes are added to the purchase price if you pay with a Canadian address. If you pay with a U.S. address, there are no sales taxes.
Please note: The purchase is made through Points.com, an external site from Air Canada. This will not count as a qualifying purchase from Air Canada.
For example, it costs $2,625 (before tax) to buy 100,000 points Aeroplan. This equates to 2.625 cents per point Aeroplan.
This is higher than our valuation of the Aeroplan point, which is 2 cents, so it’s not a very good value to buy. This purchase of points at 30% off therefore costs more than it’s worth. If it had been 2 cents or less, it would have been a good deal.
Note that the regular purchase price of a Aeroplan point has increased. For example, the price is now $3,750 for 100,000 Aeroplan points, instead of $3,500 previously.
In comparison, the current offer for TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite* Card or the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Credit Card offer a welcome bonus in Aeroplan points, which can be earned while shopping as usual:
