To make it easier to visit Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House, we opted for the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay. It takes only a few minutes to reach the port docks. We were able to take a ferry ride and visit Cockatoo Island.

The hotel is located 20 minutes from Sydney International Airport. Many points of interest are within walking distance.
We had a great impression when we arrived at the reception. The hall is large with a central pillar around which seating has been arranged. Hanging lights add a touch of elegance to this space. The registration will be done quickly.
The renovations this hotel underwent in 2017 gave a modern twist and harmonized the spaces.
The reception area leads directly to The Silvester’s, a five-star restaurant featuring the dishes of a Michelin chef. The space is airy and makes you want to come. Being with the children, we will go to our room to rest.
Train station, bus station, ferry dock, subway station: everything is within walking distance. If you arrive by car, several parking lots are also available, but the costs are high. Please note that this is at least $70 CAD per day.
This 32-story white tower has 595 rooms, including 52 suites. Here are the many types of rooms available:
We will get a Deluxe Room with twin beds and a city view, two double beds.
The room was classic, with touches of beige, blue and red. To tell the truth, it’s not our favorite thing to do, but it worked perfectly with the kids who were happy to sleep next to their parents.
The space being limited for 4 people, fortunately we had only our small suitcases Away. There is an office space combined with a dining area (glass table and chair) and a closet with mini safe, ironing board and iron, and bathrobe. A space for coffee. The mini-bar was well stocked with snacks and everything you need for tea.
The black and white bathroom was very classic. There was no particular element here other than that it was functional. Note that we would have liked a more modern shower head.
The view is over the city, buildings under construction, and the port. The kids were thrilled to watch the sunset over the harbor and the Sydney Opera House.
Breakfast at The Silvester’s is varied. Expect a small crowd.
In addition to The Silvester’s restaurant, there is the Customs House Bar outside, which is ideal for a beer and a bite to eat.
The Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay offers breakfast for $20/person to Marriott Bonvoy members. We will go with the one included in the executive lounge. Because of our Titanium status, we had access to this executive lounge on level 2.
A large selection of food was offered. I let you discover the pictures :
This offers beverage and refreshment service throughout the day from 6:30 a.m. to midnight as well as breakfast, tea, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and liquor service at set times.
Please note: children under 12 years of age are only allowed in until 6:30 p.m. and must be accompanied by an adult.
As mentioned in one of my previous articles, this lounge service is a real advantage for traveling families and allows you to save on restaurant food costs, which is not negligible in a destination like Australia where prices rise quickly. The buffet formula is also an advantage.
The swimming pool is located on the 4th floor. The space isn’t the most modern, but it’s still clean and nice.
The fitness room is on the same floor. It’s bright and airy, with a host of cardiovascular and weight-training equipment.
The Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay is an affordable hotel ideally located for sightseeing. It is a convenient hotel that I recommend for a short stay, suitable for couples and business people.
