This hotel was visited during the COVID-19 pandemic. The experience can therefore be different from a normal stay.
Aloft Me’aisam Dubai is a Marriott Bonvoy category 2 hotel. A night paid for with points goes for between 10,000 and 15,000 points depending on the season.
I preferred to keep my points and pay for my stay with my Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card given the rate I got.

The best way to earn Marriott Bonvoy points to stay for free at over 7,000 hotels worldwide is to be a Marriott Bonvoy American Express (and/or Marriott Bonvoy Business American ExpressMD Card) cardholder.
In addition to the great welcome bonus on both cards, you’ll earn 2 points per dollar on all purchases and 5 points per dollar at Marriott locations.
And each year, you’ll earn a free hotel night certificate (35,000 point value) as well as 15 Elite nights towards your Marriott Bonvoy status.
Alternatively, you can earn Marriott Bonvoy points with American Express Membership Rewards credit cards. You can transfer Membership Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy points at a rate of 5:6 (50,000 Membership Rewards points = 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points).
For example, with the American Express CobaltMD Card, you earn 6 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar of purchases at grocery stores, restaurants, bars, convenience stores and home delivery. It is one of the best credit cards in Canada for travellers. Find out why here.

Located in the Dubai Production City area, Aloft Me’aisam Dubai is ideal for those wishing to visit Expo 2020 or the Dubai Autodrome, while saving on accommodation.
During my stay in Dubai, I had a rental car, which was very useful to go to different appointments. Aloft Me’aisam Dubai offers free parking.
The hotel is a “mirror copy” of the Element Me’aisam Dubai Hotel(which I also reviewed here): the parking lot, terraces and pool are identical.
In the hotel lobby, we find the colours and style of the Aloft brand, including a pool table.
I gave my Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card as collateral and to pay for my stay there.
With the Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card, you earn 5 points per dollar for all your spending at Marriott Bonvoy hotels.
This is the best credit card to have if you stay at Marriott Bonvoy hotels frequently.
I stayed at this hotel twice during my stay in Dubai. The first time, I was given a suite upgrade due to my Titanium status.
As we enter the suite, we find ourselves in the lounge, made up of a round table and a large and colourful sofa. There is also a water closet.
On the bedroom side, a large king bed with two office spaces. The view overlooks the nearby shopping center (Carrefour).
The bathroom is behind the bed. Everything looks like new!
It is made up of a shower, a bathtub (both being in the same closed room) and a closed toilet.
The space has been well thought out.
On my second stay, I declined the upgrade in order to show you a standard King room, which you can book with points regardless of status. This room is comfortable for a couple.
In this room, the bathroom only has a large shower.
Aloft Me’aisam Dubai has a large swimming pool with plenty of sunshine, and surrounded by the bar and restaurant terrace.
Several spots allow for easy isolation and the place is pleasant to work (in February…).
In the evening, the terrace is a nice place to have a drink or dinner while watching a soccer game on the giant screen above the pool.
The gym is located along the pool.
Due to sanitary restrictions, only 2 people could access the gym during my visit. The equipment is new, as are the other facilities in the hotel.
At Aloft Me’aisam Dubai, breakfast can be enjoyed at the hotel’s restaurant located on the lobby level.
Breakfast is served at the table in view of the sanitary context.
Here is the available menu and my choice:
Update 2022 – On my second visit, the buffet was available again:
If you make purchases in the bars and restaurants of your hotel, do not forget to charge these expenses to your room bill. So you’ll earn up to 17.5 points per dollar based on your Marriott Bonvoy status!
And when you check out, pay with your Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card to earn 5 points per dollar!
In my eyes, the Aloft Me’aisam Dubai hotel is a good value in the Marriott Bonvoy program.
Classified as category 2, a night can be booked from 10,000 points (count between 40,000 and 60,000 points for a stay of 5 consecutive nights thanks to the option “Stay 5 nights for the price of 4 using Marriott Bonvoy points“.
