During a week-long stay in Mexico, I was able to visit the VIP lounge by Club Med at Quebec City’s Jean-Lesage airport (YQB) thanks to my Priority Pass membership , courtesy of my Platinum CardMD from American Express.
According to the airport’s official website, ALL PASSENGERS presenting a valid boarding pass for a flight departing fromQuebec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) on the same day and one of the following documents
If you’re not on this list, you can purchase access to the lounge for $46.80 (taxes included). You will have access to unlimited food and drinks.
Note that if you registered for Priority Pass before February 15, 2018, you get free admission. But every guest must pay. If you signed up for Priority Pass after February 15, 2018, you are entitled to one free guest and the others must pay.
However, since February 2022, you cannot present your Platinum Card® due to the introduction of an electronic door. You will need to present your Priority Pass card in digital format using the Priority Pass application. So, thanks to your Platinum CardMD from American Express, you need to register with Priority Pass, install the Priority Pass mobile app and then show it at the door.
If you want six annual airport lounge visits, an excellent card is the Scotiabank Passport™ Visa Infinite* Card (which is also a credit card with no foreign currency conversion fees).
You could also get four annual airport lounge visits with the CIBC Aventura® Visa Infinite* Card or the CIBC Aventura® Gold Visa* Card.
Finally, if you are a frequent traveller, the best choice is one of the American Express Platinum cards, which are the only cards that offer unlimited access for the Cardmember and a guest to over 1,300 airport lounges worldwide.

The lounge is open from 4am to 6:30pm.
Closing time may vary depending on traffic and flight schedules.
The lounge is located near the boarding bridge number 29.
Here are some photos of the interior of the lounge, which opened in 2021 and offers a view of the tarmac.
All in all, this lounge offers exactly what a passenger is looking for before a flight: excellent coffee, quality food (I could only try the breakfast options – granola, yogurt, eggs, maple ham [un délice]), a wide selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and plenty of comfortable spaces to recharge our electronic devices.
For lunch and dinner, there’s a choice of light snacks, including salads, sandwiches and soups.
Beverages include various types of juice, sparkling water, milk, chocolate milk and soft drinks.
Alcohol is free during the hours when the law allows it.
I enjoyed my short visit very much. My flight left at 8:15 a.m.; I entered the lounge with my Priority Pass around 6:30 a.m., allowing me to relax a bit before my flight.
The possibilities are endless! See “How to access the Club Med VIP Lounge” above.
There is no Maple Leaf Lounge at Quebec City Airport. The nearest Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges are at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport.
