To encourage the Canadian economy, RBC is launching Points for Canada through its RBC Rewards program.

Points for Canada is running from July 1 to 31, 2020 and encourages you to:

• Dine Canada
• Shop Canada

You have to opt-in for the various online offers.

To encourage you to Dine Canada, RBC offers three solutions:

• Earn 2X the points at restaurants
• Save 30% on dining gift cards
• Dine with points for 30% more value

The most advantageous offer is the one to get 2X the points at restaurants. The other options are not very attractive compared to what you could get for travel redemptions with your RBC Rewards points.

To encourage you to Shop Canada, RBC offers three solutions:

• Shop Canada with 30% off gift cards
• Save 30% when you redeem for a Petro-Canada gift card
• Shop with points for 30% more value
