A press release in July 2023 had announced that MGM would transition to the Marriott Bonvoy program.
At that time, the date of this initial transition was October 2023. However, due to a IT security problem, the date has been changed.
Marriott Bonvoy members can now earn and redeem points at 16 MGM hotels on the Marriott Bonvoy website.

The MGM Collection from Marriott Bonvoy now includes seven MGM hotels in Las Vegas and five others throughout the United States.
Points fluctuate widely depending on the hotel and the day of the week.
We’ve found that the best deals are between Sunday and Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays are the days when the hotel demands the most Marriott Bonvoy points.

The best hotel requiring the fewest points is the Excalibur Hotel & Casino, MGM Collection, where several nights cost 5,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. As the fifth night is free, this amounts to a total of 20,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
Beware of resort fees, which are high in Las Vegas and don’t disappear when you book with points.
