To the point TD commits to planting 30,000 trees in British Columbia through its partnership with their Priceless Planet Coalition. MBNA cardholders can contribute by choosing the paperless option.

TD is partnering with Mastercard’s global initiative, Priceless Planet Coalition, to fund a reforestation project in British Columbia. From October 24, 2024 to January 15, 2025, the Canadian bank will donate $4 for every MBNA credit cardholder who opts for electronic statements.

The funds raised will contribute to the planting of up to 30,000 trees in the Thompson River basin in British Columbia, an area that was hit hard by forest fires in recent years.

The Planet Is Priceless

The Priceless Planet Coalition, led by Mastercard, supports 19 reforestation projects on 6 continents. These initiatives, in collaboration with experts in climatology and forest restoration, aim to respond to the most pressing environmental problems.

The Priceless Planet Coalition aims to plant 100 million trees, and is committed to restoring ecosystems beyond simple planting. In Canada, the project is carried out in collaboration with Tree Canada for reforestation initiatives.

We are so proud to partner with Mastercard on this initiative and it feels like a natural fit as TD believes sustainability is important. As an organization, we aim to enrich and support the communities in which we live and work. We believe Mastercard’s Priceless Planet Coalition can help connect customers across the country to such an important program. – Jennifer Bishop, Vice President and Executive Journey Product Owner, TD Bank

How Do I Opt For Electronic Statements?

To contribute to this wonderful mission, MBNA credit cardholders have until January 15, 2024 to opt for electronic statements, if they haven’t already done so. For every customer who goes paperless, MBNA and TD will donate $4 (the cost of planting a tree with Tree Canada).

To change the way you receive your statements, go to the MBNA website and log in to your account. Then click on the My Profile tab at the top of the home page. Then click on Send Statements. Follow the instructions to switch from paper to electronic statements.
