Voting Terms – Milesopedia Community Favorites 2025

Here are the Terms for the Milesopedia Community Favorites 2025 Voting

1. PURPOSE OF THE VOTE
   1. The Milesopedia Community Favorites 2025 Voting (hereinafter the “Vote“) is organized by Les Services Milesopedia Inc. (hereinafter the “Organizer“). Its objective is to allow the Milesopedia community to designate the two credit cards in the Travel and Cash Back categories and the preferred reward programs among the four proposed categories: Airline, Hotel, Bank, and Cash Back. This Vote reflects Milesopedia’s commitment to valuing its members’ opinions and collaborating with partners to evolve according to user expectations.
2. VOTING PERIOD
   1. The Vote will take place from November 15, 2024, at 9:00 AM ET until December 10, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET (hereinafter the “Period“).
   2. The Winning Products (credit cards and reward programs elected by the public) will be announced in early January 2025 on the milesopedia.com website, via a press release, and via the Milesopedia weekly newsletter on January 12, 2025.
3. ELIGIBILITY
   1. The Vote is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of the Period (hereinafter the “Eligible Participants“).
   2. Milesopedia’s employees, and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, and spouse, regardless of their place of residence) are not eligible to Vote (the “Ineligible Participants“).
   3. This Vote is in no way associated with, endorsed, or managed by Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), TikTok, or LinkedIn (each being a “Social Platform“). By participating in this Vote, the Participant:
      1. Fully release each Social Platform from any liability.
      2. Acknowledge they provide information to the Organizer, not the Social Platforms.
      3. Will direct any questions, comments, or claims regarding the Vote to the Organizer and the relevant Social Platform.
4. PARTICIPATION MANAGEMENT TOOL
   1. Single portal: Although several communication tools are used for the Vote, Participants are redirected to a single place to register.
   2. No purchase necessary: To participate, individuals must follow instructions posted on the Organizer’s social media and/or website, which will direct them to the participation form (the “Form”).
   3. Registration: As detailed in Article 6, the Form will be accessible throughout the Period on our Events and Competitions page and linked in the article published on the opening day of the Vote.
5. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
   1. Eligible Participants must correctly complete the Form (first name, last name, and email address) and respond during the Voting Period.
6. WINNING PRODUCT SELECTION
   1. Milesopedia presents all Canadian credit card products for the Vote, with the exception of:
      1. Prepaid cards
      2. Student cards
      3. Cards for purchases in US dollars
      4. Guaranteed approval cards
      5. Reduced rate cards
   2. Similarly, reward programs from stores unaffiliated with issuers are not considered for this Vote.
   3. The Winning Products in the different categories will be defined after counting all the Votes received during the Period.
7. ADVERTISING
   1. By participating in this Vote, Eligible Participants agree to receive emails from the Organizer regarding the Vote.
   2. Participants authorize the Organizer and its advertising and promotional agency to broadcast, publish, or otherwise use the information submitted via the Vote Form for advertising purposes without any form of compensation.
8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
   1. Milesopedia is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for technical failures.
9. RIGHTS
   1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Vote, or any part of it, in the event that fraud, technical failure, human error, or any other factor compromises the integrity or proper conduct of the Vote, as determined at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
   2. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, not to count the participation of any person who attempts to unduly influence the participation process or the conduct of the Vote or who does not comply with the official terms of the latter or any other activity, or who acts unfairly or disruptively.
      1. Any attempt to unduly influence the proper conduct of the Vote by any person constitutes an offense under the Criminal and Civil Code.
      2. The Organizer reserves the right to pursue any person attempting to unduly influence the Vote to the extent permitted by law to seek compensation.
10. PRIVACY
    1. By participating in this Vote, each eligible Participant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Organizer for the purposes of conducting and announcing the Vote or for any other purpose to which they consent. Once submitted, the Participations become the exclusive property of the Organizer and will not be returned. The personal information will be used to verify the eligibility of Participants for the Vote.
    2. Personal information may be used and disclosed to third parties retained by the Organizer for storage, market research, Vote management, or similar services, subject to applicable privacy protection laws and the Organizer’s internal policy. The company may use this information for (i) proper administration and execution of the Vote and (ii) sending newsletters to Participants about events, financial products, and company services. To unsubscribe from commercial mailing lists, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any commercial electronic message you receive.
11. NAMES OF WINNING PRODUCTS
    1. In the interests of transparency, the names of the Winning Products will be published on the Events page of the Organizer’s website: https://milesopedia.com/en/events-contest/
    2. Anyone wishing to know the names of the Winning Products can also send an email to: information@milesopedia.com between January 8, 2025, and January 31, 2025.
