New: Installments plans with Visa and Amazon for RBC and Scotia

To the point There is a new way for RBC and Scotiabank credit cardholders to pay for Amazon purchases.

New payment option

Eligible RBC or Scotiabank credit cardholders who shop online at Amazon (on the Canadian site) or in the Amazon app, can now choose “Installments Enabled by Visa” as their payment method for eligible purchases.

This flexible Visa payment method is newly available, allowing customers to divide their Amazon Canada payments into monthly installments.

Eligible credit cards are not specified, but you can see in your banking profile if you are targeted.

How to get an Installment Plan with Amazon

For example, in the Details section of your RBC credit card, you will see an RBC Installment Plans section.

When you make a qualifying purchase on Amazon, please allow approximately 3 business days for the transaction to be charged to your card. Then click on your transaction to discover your Installment Plan options for your Amazon purchase.

Once you’ve chosen this option, your monthly payment amount will become part of the minimum payment due on your credit card statement.
